Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has issued a weather alert for the weekend, forecasting local clouds, thundery rain, and strong winds in some areas on Saturday. While daytime temperatures will remain high, certain regions may experience unstable weather conditions, including poor visibility due to dust.

On Saturday, thundery rain accompanied by strong winds is likely during the daytime, significantly reducing horizontal visibility. QMD has also warned of blowing dust on both Friday, August 8, and Saturday, August 9, urging residents to take necessary precautions.

Sea conditions are expected to be moderate to rough, with wave heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet on Friday, occasionally reaching 6 feet. On Saturday, wave heights will range from 2 to 5 feet, affecting marine activities.

Weekend temperatures will remain high, ranging between 34°C and 43°C across the country. Authorities advise the public to stay updated on weather developments and avoid unnecessary exposure during peak hours.
