New Delhi: The India-Qatar Business Forum, held during the state visit of
Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, emphasized the deepening
economic ties between the two nations. The forum saw participation from top
leaders, including India’s Commerce Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal, and Qatar’s
Commerce Minister, H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, both of
whom underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral trade and investment.
J.K. Menon, Chairman of ABN Corporation and the Indian Business and Professionals
Council (IBPC) in Qatar, speaking to ANI, highlighted the remarkable growth in
trade volumes, reflecting the strengthening economic collaboration between
India and Qatar.
He was sharing with ANI that the forum is a significant
opportunity to further fortify business and trade relations between the two
countries. He noted that Qatar continues to be a key destination for Indian
professionals and workers across various sectors, contributing to the nation’s
economic landscape. Many experts at the forum echoed similar sentiments,
emphasizing the steady progress in bilateral cooperation and the increasing
potential for future partnerships. As India and Qatar continue to build on their
