Doha: Siddique Shamsuddin (66), a native of Perumpilavu and a long-time expatriate in Qatar, passed away in Doha. He had been actively involved in community activities and was a member of Pravasi Welfare as well as a former member of the Thrissur District Council.

Siddique Shamsuddin was well known in his hometown of Chavakkad, where he had been running the travel establishment Jai Hind Travels for many years. Through his business and social involvement, he maintained strong connections both in his hometown and within the expatriate community in Qatar.

During his professional career, he served as a Senior Marketing Officer at Etihad Airways Qatar. In recent years, he had been working with Victoria Travels, Qatar, continuing his long association with the travel and aviation sector.

Relatives informed that the funeral will be held in Qatar.

He is survived by his wife Najma. His children are Faheem, Hazeem, Afreen, and Nooras. His son-in-law is Shaheer, and daughter-in-law Khairunnisa.
