Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call on Wednesday from Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi, during which the latest regional developments were discussed.
During
the conversation, the Prime Minister rejected claims that recent missile
incidents were not directed at Qatar, stressing that the facts on the ground
indicated otherwise. He noted that affected areas included locations around Hamad International Airport as well as
important infrastructure and industrial zones, including facilities linked to
liquefied natural gas production.
Sheikh
Mohammed described the incidents as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and
international law, affirming that any action threatening the country’s security
and territorial integrity is unacceptable. He emphasized that Qatar reserves
the right to respond to such violations in accordance with international law.
The
Prime Minister also reiterated Qatar’s consistent commitment to dialogue and
diplomatic solutions, calling for restraint and urging all parties to
prioritize regional stability and the protection of civilians.
