Doha, Qatar: The security threat in Qatar has been eliminated, according to a National Emergency Alert sent to the public at around 2:30pm on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
The
alert stated that “the
security threat has been eliminated and the situation has returned to normal.”
Authorities
also urged the public to continue following instructions issued by official authorities,
especially the Ministry of Interior.
Earlier
in the day, Qatar was subjected to a missile attack, which was successfully intercepted by the country’s air
defence systems. Following the incident, a National Emergency
Alert had been issued asking residents to stay indoors as the security threat level was elevated.
As of the time of publication, no further official statements had been issued by authorities.
