Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC) has reported a record-breaking liquor sale of ₹970.74 crore during the 12-day Onam season, marking the highest-ever collection in the State’s history.
According to KSBC data, sales were registered between August 25 and September 6, showing a growth of 9.34% compared to last year’s ₹842.07 crore.
The highest single-day sale came on September 4, Uthradam—the eve of Thiruvonam—when collections touched ₹137.64 crore. This was followed by ₹96.52 crore on September 3 and ₹90.43 crore on September 2. By Uthradam day alone, the cumulative sales had reached ₹826.38 crore.
Among Bevco outlets, the Karunagappally store near the Kollam warehouse topped the State’s sales chart on Uthradam day, recording ₹1.46 crore in turnover.
The surge highlights the strong festive demand, making this Onam season a milestone for KSBC’s revenue record.
