Mina, Saudi Arabia: Thousands of pilgrims continued their Hajj journey on Sunday by performing the symbolic stoning ritual at the three Jamarat in Mina on the third Day of Tashreeq. Chanting “Allahu Akbar” (God is the greatest), they cast seven pebbles each at Jamarat Al-Sugra (small pillar), Jamarat Al-Wusta (medium pillar), and Jamarat Al-Aqaba (largest pillar). The ritual was carried out in an atmosphere of deep spirituality and devotion, following the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The
movement of pilgrims through the Jamarat Bridge was exceptionally smooth and
well-organized. Pilgrims were seen moving seamlessly whether they were on their
way to perform the stoning ritual, returning to their tents in Mina, or heading
to Makkah for the final Hajj ritual — the Tawaf Al-Wida (Farewell Tawaf). This
efficiency was credited to the meticulous planning and coordination of the
Saudi authorities, ensuring the safety and comfort of all worshippers.
Following the stoning, many pilgrims in a rush made their way to the Grand Mosque in Makkah to complete the Tawaf Al-Wida before departing for Madinah or returning to their home countries.
