Doha: Ministry of Defence Qatar announced that the country’s air defence systems successfully intercepted 17 ballistic missiles and six drones that were directed towards Qatar, preventing them from reaching their targets.
The
ministry confirmed that the missiles and drones were detected early and
neutralised by the air defence systems, with no casualties or major damage reported.
Authorities said the situation was brought under control promptly.
Officials
added that the armed forces remain fully prepared to address any potential
threats and will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the security
and safety of the country.
