Doha, Qatar: The Super Smash 2025 Volleyball
Tournament, organized under the dynamic leadership of INCAS Qatar
Pathanamthitta District Committee, has etched and emerged itself into history
as one of the greatest, most vibrant and thrilling community sporting events in
Qatar, hosted at the iconic world renowned Aspire Dome over two power-packed
days - Friday, June 13 and Friday, June 20.
The tournament kicked off with a grand inauguration ceremony on June 13, jointly led by Mr. A.P. Manikantan, President of the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), and Mr. E.P. Abdulrahiman, President of the Indian Sports Centre (ISC). The day featured the preliminary pre-quarter matches, setting the stage for intense competition and high-spirited sportsmanship.
The action-packed final day on June 20 witnessed
excitement as the stadium lit of with the thrilling quarter-finals,
semi-finals, third-place playoffs, and an electrifying final match, drawing a
massive audience and culminating in a colorful closing ceremony. The event was
graced by Shri Harish Pandey, First Secretary (Education & Culture) at the
Embassy of India, Qatar, as the Chief Guest, and Guests of Honour:

In a powerful display of athleticism and teamwork, Team Tulukoota Qatar emerged as the champions of the first-ever edition of the Super Smash Volleyball Tournament 2025. Team MCC Qatar finished as 1st Runner-Up, while Team Nepal secured the 2nd Runner-Up position. All three top teams were honoured with trophies, cash prize awards, and gold, silver, and bronze medals presented to each team member.
The tournament also celebrated individual
brilliance with Mr. Dharmaveera being crowned as the Best Player of the
Tournament, recognized for his outstanding skills and consistent performance
throughout the event.
More than just a tournament, Super Smash 2025 was a celebration of community spirit, unity, multicultural interaction, and the enthusiastic participation of diverse communities. The lively crowd, electrifying energy, and the traditional powerful rhythm of the Kerala-Style “Chenda Melam” (drum beats) added a rich cultural touch that elevated the overall atmosphere. The choice of Aspire Dome - a world-renowned international sports venue - added immense prestige to the event, making it an unforgettable experience for players and spectators alike.
A standout feature of the tournament was its exceptional refereeing, with Qatari referee Mr. Khalid at the helm. Across both days, his accurate decision-making and calm control were commendable, supported ably by a team of experienced referees. The event also benefited greatly from the volleyball mentors who guided the organizing team behind the scenes, and from the rocking live commentary team, whose energy and insights kept the audience fully engaged. From start to finish, the roaring crowd, colorful cheers, and relentless support from the stands created an electric atmosphere that lifted the spirits of players and organizers alike.
