Doha: Nearly 1,500 fasting individuals are being
served daily at the Al Wakrah Iftar tent organised under the supervision of the
Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
The initiative is part of a broader Ramadan
programme aimed at providing free iftar meals across multiple locations in the
country. Officials said the project reflects ongoing efforts to support those
in need and promote solidarity during the holy month.
The tent is equipped to accommodate large numbers
of beneficiaries, with meals prepared in accordance with health and safety
standards. Authorities noted that similar iftar tents are operating in other
areas, contributing to a nationwide effort to serve thousands of meals
throughout Ramadan.
