Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has
introduced a Digital Auditor Card as part of efforts to strengthen transparency
and streamline auditing procedures.
The new electronic card allows authorised parties
to verify the credentials and registration status of licensed auditors through
a digital platform. Officials said the move is intended to simplify
verification processes and reduce reliance on physical documentation.
According to the ministry, the initiative will
improve accuracy, limit the risk of forged credentials and speed up
administrative procedures. The card can be accessed online, enabling
institutions and clients to confirm auditor information quickly and securely.
The launch forms part of the ministry’s broader
push to expand digital services and modernise regulatory systems in line with
national development goals.
