Doha: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has reaffirmed that Qatar will take all measures necessary to safeguard its security and sovereignty, following a recent attack described as a clear violation of international law.

The Amir made the remarks during a phone conversation on Tuesday with US President Donald Trump, who expressed solidarity with Qatar and condemned the assault on its sovereignty. President Trump emphasized that diplomatic solutions remain the path forward to address challenges in the region and praised Qatar’s mediation efforts in promoting peace, particularly in Gaza.

Highlighting Qatar’s active role as a trusted strategic partner, the US President called on the Amir to continue his efforts in facilitating regional dialogue and de-escalation.

For his part, His Highness the Amir denounced the attack as reckless and criminal, holding the Israeli entity responsible for its consequences, and warning of the destabilizing impact of continued aggression. He urged the international community to uphold its legal and moral obligations by holding those responsible accountable.

The Amir reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting just causes, assisting regional partners, and promoting international peace and security while ensuring the protection of the nation’s sovereignty.
