Doha, Qatar: Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that worshippers across Qatar gathered in mosques to perform the Eclipse Prayer (Salat al-Khusuf). 

Sheikh Subaih Al Marri emphasised that cosmic phenomena like eclipses, earthquakes, and droughts should not be seen as punishments for individuals but as signs from Allah meant to remind and warn humanity. 

He stressed that a true believer always turns to prayer, following the Prophet's example, as a way to draw closer to Allah during any cosmic event or fearful circumstance.
