DFI announces call for volunteers at 11th Ajyal Film Festival

Doha, Qatar: As preparations for the 11th Ajyal Film Festival are in progress, the Doha Film Institute (DFI) is extending an invitation to the residents of Qatar to join in and contribute to one of the region's prominent cultural events taking place from November 8 to 16. This festival brings the entire community together to celebrate the transformative impact of cinema.

The Ajyal Volunteer Programme, a remarkable demonstration of the community spirit fostered by DFI, offers an opportunity for residents of the country to gain hands-on experience and engage with the dynamic and growing film industry. Volunteers will work on various aspects of the festival, enhancing their personal and professional skills in the process.

Participants in this program will have the chance to delve into the inner workings of a significant cultural event, acquire valuable industry insights, and receive a certificate of appreciation for their contribution. Individuals aged 18 and above who are interested can register on the DFI website starting from October 5. Please note that there are only 300 spots available.

Fatma Hassan Alremaihi, Festival Director and Chief Executive Officer of DFI, emphasized that the active involvement of the local community and the enthusiastic participants of the Volunteer Programme, who represent Qatar's diverse cultural tapestry, play a pivotal role in the success of this unique cultural celebration.
