Tehran : Loud explosions were heard in
parts of Tehran after US President Donald Trump announced military action
against Iran, sharply raising tensions in the region.
Witnesses reported blasts across the Iranian
capital, with smoke seen rising from several locations. Iranian authorities
confirmed that air defence systems had been activated, while the country
temporarily restricted air traffic as a precaution.
In Washington, Trump said the strikes were aimed
at countering what he described as growing security threats. The development
marks a serious escalation, with regional and international leaders closely
monitoring the situation amid fears of further retaliation.
