Riyadh: A military projectile struck a residential
compound belonging to a maintenance and cleaning company in Al-Kharj, Saudi
Arabia, on Sunday, leaving two people dead and 12 others injured, according to
Saudi Civil Defense.
Authorities later confirmed that the two
fatalities were residents of Bangladeshi nationality, while the injured
included 12 Bangladeshi nationals. Emergency response teams rushed to the scene
and carried out necessary procedures while providing medical assistance to
those injured.
Civil Defense officials said the incident caused material damage to the residential facility and emphasized that targeting civilian sites is a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
