Doha,
Qatar: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has taken action against
four health clubs (massage centers) for publishing advertisements that violate
public morals and disregard the country’s religious and cultural values. The
violations were issued under Article (2) of Law No. (8) of 2008, which focuses
on consumer protection. The offending centers have been reported to the
relevant authorities for further legal action.
MoCI emphasized its ongoing commitment to conducting regular inspection campaigns and enforcing regulations that uphold consumer rights. The ministry also assured that it will continue to take firm measures against any commercial practices that threaten the moral fabric or social integrity of the country.
