New Delhi: Prominent Islamic scholar Kanthapuram
A.P. Abubakar Musliyar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official
residence in New Delhi and held detailed discussions on a range of issues
concerning minority communities.
According to reports, the meeting focused on
minority welfare, educational development, and key social and human rights
issues. Musliyar briefed the Prime Minister on concerns raised during his
recent Kerala tour conducted under the message “With Humanity,” stressing the
importance of inclusive development and communal harmony.
Matters related to waqf properties, restoration of
minority education schemes, and the protection of religious and cultural
heritage centres were also discussed. Musliyar is understood to have
highlighted the need to safeguard institutions that play a vital role in the
educational and social upliftment of minority communities.
He further emphasized the importance of continued
dialogue and strengthened cooperation between the government and minority
representatives to effectively address community concerns.
Reports indicate that the Prime Minister
appreciated the educational and social initiatives led by Musliyar and
acknowledged his contributions toward community development.
Representatives of various organisations
accompanied Kanthapuram during the meeting.
