Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), confirmed that it will host the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Doha for five consecutive years. This marks a historic milestone for the Middle East and North Africa region.
The official hosting agreement was signed yesterday by Minister of Communications and Information Technology HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai and John Hoffman, CEO of the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA), during a ceremony held on the sidelines of MWC 2025 in Barcelona.
Minister Al Mannai highlighted that the event will serve as a global platform to enhance collaboration and knowledge exchange among industry leaders and experts. He emphasized that this initiative is set to accelerate digital transformation and reinforce Qatar's status as a global hub for digital innovation, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
