Doha: The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf), through its Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, has opened registration for morning Quranic sessions, to be held during the summer vacation across various centers in Qatar. Registration is open until Thursday, with sessions set to begin next Sunday.
Targeting
boys aged five and above, the program aims to make effective use of the summer
break by nurturing both educational and religious development. In addition to
Quran memorization and review, the sessions will include basic spelling lessons
and activities that promote Islamic values and positive behavior.
The
classes will run four days a week—Sunday through Wednesday—from 9:00 AM to
11:00 AM. The program will take place at 14 Quranic centers distributed across different
regions of the country, ensuring wider access and participation. A team of
qualified instructors specializing in Quranic studies will supervise the
sessions.
The ministry emphasized that the initiative is part of its broader strategy to promote Islamic learning and raise religious awareness among youth. By fostering a strong connection with the Holy Quran in a safe and supportive environment, the program aims to help raise a generation rooted in Islamic principles and identity.
