A selection committee will review all submissions and shortlist 100 participants for the qualifying rounds, which will take place in Doha. The qualifiers will compete in 20 televised episodes, with one winner from each episode advancing to the semifinal stage. From there, finalists will emerge through five additional episodes, culminating in a grand finale that will determine the top five winners.

The total prize pool for the Katara Prize for Quran Recitation is QAR 1.5 million. The first-place winner will receive QAR 500,000, the second-place winner QAR 400,000, third place QAR 300,000, fourth place QAR 200,000, and fifth place QAR 100,000. Organized in partnership with Qatar TV and broadcast during the holy month of Ramadan, the prize continues to inspire younger generations to engage deeply with the Holy Quran. The competition has been officially sponsored by the General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs since its launch in 2017.
