Doha: The Qatar government has officially
confirmed the working hours for employees in the government sector during the
Holy Month of Ramadan.
Under the new schedule, government offices will
operate for five hours a day, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Employees are permitted
to begin work as late as 10:00 am, provided they complete the required five
working hours and fulfil their duties.
The announcement also allows up to 30 percent of
staff to work remotely. Priority for remote arrangements will be given to
Qatari mothers and persons with disabilities, while ensuring that essential
services continue without interruption.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health and the
Ministry of Education and Higher Education will determine their own working
schedules based on operational requirements during the holy month.
The revised timings are intended to accommodate
the Ramadan period while maintaining smooth government services across the
country.
