Ramadan 2026: Throwback Food Festival opens at old Doha port

Doha: The popular Throwback Food Festival has returned to Old Doha Port for its third edition, promising a bigger and more vibrant experience this Ramadan.

Running throughout the holy month, the festival opens daily from 5:30 pm to 2:00 am, with extended hours until 3:00 am on weekends. This year’s edition features around 30 food vendors and restaurants, each bringing flavor's inspired by the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

The event goes beyond food, offering visitors a nostalgic atmosphere filled with family-friendly activities. Guests can enjoy screenings of classic television shows, live cooking sessions, henna art, children’s workshops and interactive stage programs.

Traditional games and craft displays are also part of the festival, giving visitors a glimpse into cultural practices from earlier decades. One of the key highlights will be the Garangao night celebration, where children take part in festive traditions with songs and gift distribution.

Organizers expect strong turnout from residents and tourists alike, as the festival continues to grow into one of the season’s most anticipated Ramadan attractions in the capital.
