Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara is hosting a public event to experience the total lunar eclipse on Sunday, 7 September 2025 at the Al Thuraya Planetarium.

The event promises a memorable night of stargazing, as highlighted in Katara’s social media announcement: “Join us for an unforgettable night under the stars to witness one of the most fascinating celestial events.” Scheduled from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., the event will take place at the Al Thuraya Planetarium, Building 41 at the Upper Amphitheater in Katara. 

The eclipse will commence with a partial phase at 7:27 p.m., leading to the total eclipse at 8:31 p.m., peaking at 9:12 p.m. Doha time. The total phase is expected to end at 9:53 p.m., with the final partial stage concluding around 10:56 p.m.
