In cooperation with the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched a humanitarian initiative to dig 32 boreholes across various regions of Bangladesh.
This effort aims to provide secure potable water to impoverished and vulnerable families grappling with water scarcity and contamination.
The project is expected to directly benefit around 320 families, or approximately 2,000 people, by easing their daily struggles to access clean water and curbing the spread of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid, and arsenic poisoning.
This initiative is a crucial response to the escalating challenges of water contamination and the impacts of climate change in Bangladesh, where millions living in rural and impoverished areas face difficulties in accessing drinkable water or must walk long distances to obtain it.
