Bengalure: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a series of major transport projects in Bengaluru, aimed at transforming the city’s connectivity. He flagged off three new Vande Bharat Express trains from KSR Bengaluru Railway Station — Bengaluru–Belagavi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Amritsar, and Nagpur–Pune — taking the total count of Vande Bharat trains in the country to 150. Karnataka now operates 11 of these high-speed services.
The

stretching from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra. Built at a cost of ₹7,160
crore, the new line connects 16 key stations linking residential, commercial,
and industrial hubs, and will benefit lakhs of daily commuters. Modi took a
metro ride from RV Road to Electronic City to mark the occasion.
In addition, he will lay the foundation stone for the ambitious ₹15,610 crore Phase-3 of Bengaluru Metro, which will add 44 km of elevated tracks and 31 stations. The day’s events will conclude with a public address, where PM Modi is expected to reiterate his government’s commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure and improving ease of living in Bengaluru.
