first WTA 1000 event, begins this weekend at the Khalifa International Tennis
and Squash Complex, headlined by Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina, Amanda Anisimova,
Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva, Jasmine Paolini, Belinda Bencic, Elina Svitolina,
Elise Mertens, Karolina Muchova, and Emma Raducanu.
Qualifying matches start today, with leading
contenders and emerging talents battling for main-draw places, as Doha prepares
for high-intensity tennis ahead of the upcoming Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2026,
scheduled from February 16 to 21.
