Doha, Qatar: Qatar’s Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has ramped up preparations for the upcoming rainy season by conducting a series of field drills and training sessions. These operations are designed to mitigate the impacts of heavy rainfall on urban infrastructure, public safety, and traffic flow, according to a statement on X.

Ashghal emphasized the importance of prompt mobilization, effective coordination, and field knowledge in minimizing risks and preventing disruptions during rain incidents. The authority's fast response team has successfully executed critical operations, including setting up rubber ramps, deploying hoses to drain water, and operating diesel pumps.
