Doha, Qatar: The second edition of the Hamba Exhibition for Pakistani Mangoes and Products kicks off today, July 10, at the Eastern Square of Souq Waqif. Organized by the Celebrations Committee of the Private Engineering Office in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan, the event will run until July 19, offering visitors a vibrant experience of flavors and culture from Pakistan.
Following
the success of last year’s inaugural edition, this year’s exhibition features
over 60 Qatari companies and 10 Pakistani exporters showcasing a wide variety
of fresh mangoes, some introduced to the Qatari market for the first time. More
than 25 restaurants and food outlets are also participating, serving unique
mango-based dishes and products.
General
Supervisor Khalid Saif Al-Suwaidi highlighted that the mangoes are flown in
daily from Pakistan, with special cooling systems in place to maintain
freshness. He encouraged the public to arrive early, especially on weekends and
holidays, as popular mango varieties are expected to sell out quickly.
Ambassador of Pakistan, H E Muhammad Aamer, praised the event as a symbol of strong Qatar-Pakistan relations and a celebration of Pakistan’s agricultural heritage. The exhibition is open daily from 4PM to 9PM, and until 10PM on official holidays.
